What to Expect When You Book a Live Wedding Guest Artist
You’ve seen the dreamy videos and Instagram clips—an artist, painting away the guests in the corner of a wedding, creating magical keepsakes in real time. But what actually happens when you hire a live wedding guest artist?
If you’re considering adding this elegant, personal touch to your big day, here’s exactly what to expect when you book me (Kerri Anne) as your live wedding guest painter.
1. Initial Enquiry & Booking
Once you enquire via my website enquiry form, I’ll check your date and get back to you within 48 hours with:
Availability
A detailed breakdown of what’s included
A custom quote
Once you’re ready to go ahead, you can accept the quote and sign the booking form and pay the deposit to secure your date.
✅ Top Tip: I only take on a limited number of weddings per year to ensure a high-end, personalised experience, so early booking is essential!
2. Pre-Wedding Planning
We’ll go over:
The timeline of your wedding day
Where you would like me to be set up
Any priorty guests you’d like captured
Your customisation options (optional, but fun!)
This ensures that the style of your portraits and setup blends beautifully with your overall vibe.
3. On the Day: The Live Art Experience
I typically arrive 1 hour to 30 minutes before guests to set up quietly and stylishly—no fuss, no disruption.
During the event:
I paint live faceless watercolour head and shoulder portraits of your guests (each one takes around 7–12 minutes)
Guests are invited over throughout the event to view the art gallery, or surprised with their finished portrait
I work discreetly, but guests often love to stop by and watch the process
My setup is clean, calm, and aesthetically styled to fit your decor
I usually paint for 4–8 hours, depending on your package and any remaining portraits are completed in my studio post-event.
4. After the Wedding
If your package includes:
An A4 couple painting, this will be painted post event in the studio and posted out to you free of charge.
Additional guest portraits, those are completed with the same care and posted directly to you free of charge.
Each piece is painted with love and designed to be a timeless keepsake.
